Nah, like this. And that's it for conventional attic ventilation.
The picture I posted earlier is the back of the building and, unlike more northern construction, the roof ends at the wall - that would cost extra to have an overhang (and give the owner a little sun protection in the house) and we all know the poor developers were going broke building quality houses in FL a few years ago.
