I drank once coffee with Soy milk and my pulse went though the roof and I was about to call 911, but then things calmed down and I was back to normal. I am not sure what happened, but the coffee/soy milk combination almost killed me

That could mean the combination was almost fatal but soy itself might not be the culprit. As for me, I'd switch to hyper energy mode if I take a small sip of black coffee. I am all right with soy anything. I am trying to figure out ways to tell if someone is allergic to soy without having his/her dr. says so.
Hives, increased heart rate, headaches, digestive problems, and wheezing are typical food allergy/intolerance symptoms. You can test negative for an allergy, yet have the symptoms of an allergy (intolerance). I get flu like symptoms and increased heart rate after ingesting corn or corn derivatives and wheezing (asthma) from sulfites. Milk protein and gluten increases my heart rate and causes digestive issues.

Soy milk has a lot of ingredients. Tough to blame soy but it'd be high on the list.
