Todo's from ical on the itouch?

I have several todo's in ical. Going to ical on my ipod touch I do not see them. So I read a few websites that say look in my email. So I'm on my mac looking at my email and I see "todo on my mac" and "todo on my email account". The ical todo's appear in the first but not the second. So I go to my ipod touch and look in mail and I don't see any todo's. Very confusing.

So if I want todo's on my mac, that sync with mobile me, and then are available on my ipod touch, how do i do it?
