Fixed that for ya.
Fixed that for ya. Yeah, it's so weird and stupid.
Say what? Are the Daylight Saving Time-haters serious? Sheesh.
Regardless of what branch of government or executive administration folks want to blame, or give credit to, it's an idea that goes back to Benjamin Franklin.
Daylight Saving time wasn't instituted until the 20th century. It was adjusted by Congress in the '70s, '80s, and again in 2007. It's credited with conserving ten thousand of barrels of oil a day, which is why it was extended. In the last few decades it's saved millions of barrels of oil, conserving billions of dollars.
Benjamin Franklin, what a cowboy! He claimed people can save lamp oil? And claims it would be thrifty, wise, and save money? Who cares if it conserves fuel? What a silly idea!
Here in soggy Seattle, in the far Northwest corner of the U.S., we LOVE Daylight Saving Time. We can use all the light we can get!
