What file format to send to an iPad?

I've got a large format piece a client wants to see the high res version of. He's on an iPad. It's a pretty simple piece, and is only a 1.7MB PDF. Apparently you can't view PDFs on an iPad. I could send him a JPEG, but then it's an extremely large file that may take him years to download with ATT's slow 3G.

So what format can I send him that wont be huge AND be readable on his iPad?
