I bet there are a 100x more accidents getting off the lift at the top of the mountain, than from falling off the lift in the middle.
Sad though - those lifts are not designed for 4 year olds. They're not the right size, and when you consider that a 4yo has trouble concentrating and listening at the level of an adult, doesn't fully understand consequences, is wearing layers and layers of slippery clothing, and has weights hanging from their feet - it's kind of a recipe for disaster.
