I sat through a trial two weeks ago (went from 9 AM to 7 PM). Guy sped through a red light, hit a cyclist, sent her flying 120 feet through the air (she shattered his windshield, was dead before she hit the ground)-- instead of stopping he whipped across the median, raced the wrong way down a one way street, turned and raced the wrong way down another one way street, headed back to the scene, swapped seats with a back seat passenger . . .
The driver got 64 hours of community service, and if he doesn't behave he could get his license suspended.
