I still use CDs.
My car plays mp3s but only from CDs; I love having 10+ hours of music on a CD and a six-disc changer. My car stereo supports ID tags and will shuffle play. Great for road trips.
My DVD player plays .avi on CDs and DVDs. I've ripped & converted all my kids dvds to avi files and burnt them on CDs. They just plop one in and turn it on. It auto plays w/o any menus (fbi warnings, commercials for barbie dolls, etc). I can also fit multiple episodes onto one CD whereas many of the DVDs only have 2.
If you live in LA, I'll buy them from you! It's probably not worth shipping since I can usually get 100 for under $10 at the local office supply store.
