Which is why you'll have to calculate in the cost of updating any electrics if this car still has the original stuff.
That's overkill, and like I said, parts are cheap for these cars...generally vastly cheaper than parts for modern japanese cars. You're probably looking at less than $500 to replace most of the major electrical components on the car, and I wouldn't bother doing that if they're all working fine now. I'd probably limit it to having the fuel pump rebuilt and transistorized, putting an electronic ignition module in place of the points/condenser, and having the starter and alternator checked over by an auto electric shop.
