Is it just me, or has it been an awfully long time since HD's went up in size?

Macs will be fine. Other PCs with BIOS can't have larger boot drives than 2TB because of the MBR limitation. I believe newer versions of Windows can boot from GPT, but you need a motherboard with EFI.

That's my understanding, but I may be glossing over the finer points.
