For the reasons others have stated, we're stuck at 2TB until they get it sorted out.
The SSDs still have a long way to go before they're competitive.
Aside from the price/GB, they have a much, much lower lifetime for their write cycles. At this point they can't be a direct replacement for the high rewrite capability of a hard drive.
I'd love to see a replacement technology for hard drives that doesn't involve a noise-making, vibration-making device. I predict that we will have a new high-density technology that will leapfrog over the current flash technology to fill this need.
