Exchanging an iPad - sales tax question
#1
I'm thinking of purchasing an iPad 2 at a Target in Delaware. I opened a Target "Red Card" (their credit card), and can thus save 5% on the sale price of the iPad 2. By purchasing it at a Target in Delaware (I live 25 minutes away in Philly), I can save by not paying sales tax, either.

Total savings will be about $80. Not bad.

Problem is, the Target stores in Delaware haven't had the particular model (32GB, AT&T, black) I'm interested in in stock. They *do* have the white version.

So my question is: If I were to purchase the model I want in white, saving on sales tax. Could I take it--unopened--to a Target in the Philly area and exchange it for the black version without being hit with the sales tax? Or do you think they would do they do a return and make me purchase it again?

I bet they'd return it and make me purchase the new one.
