Really? I've met him before... a few days after Apple announced FCP 1.0.
Randy Ubillos, it all started when he was at SuperMac working on the VideoSpigot. That eventually led to what became Adobe Premier, then he went to Macromedia to work on what eventually became Final Cut Pro after Apple bought it.

And if you saw the Keynote when the first new iMovie ('08 I think) came out, Randy gave the demo and was introduced as the person behind this great new way to edit, and he's given the intro demos of each new version of iMovie since then.
