That's true, but even the low-end TV many times has just as good of a picture as a high-end tv from three years ago.
Like computers - a low-end model today was a high-end model just a couple years or even just a year ago.
Go take a look at a Vizio 42" 240Hz LED with local dimming and 10,000,000 to 1 Contrast Ratio and you'll be
willing to pay the $800 price tag. As soon as my sister saw it that was it, she didn't want to see anything else.
It blew my old set away by so much that we bought the 55" in the same series. It's that good! I was completely
satisfied with my 50" Sony LCD projection until I saw these, I had already told my myself that I was not going
replace it until I found somthing that much better well I found it ;-)
