Watching Mr. Paul's proclamations pass through the media, I get the feeling that he and the TEA party are very close in their political philosophies.. well, reasonably, when you compare Paul's brand of conservative libertarianism to what I would call the TEA Party's 'neo-libertarian / confusion platform.
His apparent enthusiasm for killing every single governmental program and/or institution and replacing them with what appears to be a 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps' approach is rather stunning.
Bootstrapping is all well and good if you're truly self-reliant, but the populace of this country needs to be weaned off the tax dollar teat in an organized fashion to avoid massive unrest and an 'American Spring'.
