Only reason I really joined was out of pure curiosity to see what was monopolizing so much of my wife's time. Never really posted much...was more of a lurker and, even then, only opened up facebook on my Mac or phone every 3 or 4 days.
So, it wasn't even much of a time waster for me.
The irritating thing for me was how, on the surface, it was meant to keep you connected to friends and family or get you reconnected to long lost friends or family, but no one really responded to messages or anything like that. I would send friend requests to long lost friends with a little note and they would accept my request, but never write anything back.
The whole thing just smacked of being kind of hypocritical if that's even possible (or, maybe it was just me!).
Anyway, supposedly I need to make sure that I don't accidentally log into fb for the next two weeks or else it will "reactivate" my supposedly permanently deleted account and I'll have to re-delete all over again.
Regardless, it's a good feeling nonetheless.
