Straightened paperclip to eject stuck MacBook disk?

The current theory is that something about the optical drive is blocking, like it's constipated. One shop mentioned they have a tool that helps open up the opening ... At this point she's tried all she can and will grab.a small screwdriver and maybe wedge it open some so that the eject mechanism can have an easier time of it.

That's the object of the credit card trick - insert it beneath the dvd with the computer shut down (I'll repeat)

1. Credit card on left side of slot. Insert as far as you can below the disk and still hold on to the card.
2. press the boot button.
3. feel something hit the card and remove when you see the disk coming out.

It might lift the disk just enough to exit the slot.

As always, YMMV
