Random thought of the day: What if every business called you, just to let you know they were around?
#1
Got a call, not "regular" robo telemarketing ( no one gets those anymore, unless political, do they? ) from a local kitchen remodel place. Some place I'd not heard of, but then I don't keep track of kitchen remodel stores.

"Hi, this is 'Beverly' with Whatever Kitchen Remodel (I instantly forgot the name) and I'm calling to let you know we're having a Grand Opening for our new location ... "

Oh. OK, I don't have any remodel needs but thanks.

"Would you like to know where we're located, or ?"

Do you have a web site with that info?

"Yes we do, but if you know where the [X, Y and Z] is the new location is right across the street.

Great, thanks for letting me know. Goodbye!

That was about it. I learned of no sales and wasn't asked if I wanted a remodel. She sounded like the bookeeper or owner's wife pressed into doing cold calls. Hope they didn't pay a lot for the phone list.
