Here's an alternative.
Our local grocery store sells pre-made pizza dough. Comes in a plastic bag and can be refrigerated for several days. You pat it out on a cookie sheet and make your own. It's a bit more trouble than pulling one out of the freezer, but not a lot so (depending on whether you want many ingredients that need cutting up). The main ingredients, tomato sauce and grated mozzarella, keep a long time under refrigeration. Other typical things, like onions and bell pepper, or pepperoni slices, also keep well.
Our results with the store-bought dough have been quite respectable. Definitely much better than frozen pizza.
