I buy and use Macs (at home) because I don't like fussing with computers on my off time. I do enough of that at work (in Windows).

I second that as well. There was one time in my life that money was more important than time, but not anymore. I can always hustle for more money but having things misbehave or cause frustration is not worth it for me any more. One in-law is always touting the superiority of things that are less money (Android phones, Linux, cheap laptops) but I think he spends a LOT more time keeping them stable than I would be comfortable with.
I will pay the Apple "premium" to have it just work.
