Bingo! Forums like this are like a highly uncontrolled version of facebook where you can't unfriend or otherwise reduce the impact of someone if they turn out to be a jerk (with the exception of the marginally effective "Ignore this user" control). Your experience on facebook can be customized to be exactly what you want it to be. If you can't figure out how, then you probably shouldn't use it.
