How about just "ban" distracted driving, and save about $500 million in legislative costs trying to ban each and every single possible way to BE "distracted" while driving.
I don't care if someone is texting while driving, or doing their makeup, or changing a diaper while behind the wheel.. they're distracted from driving.
We don't need a separate law for each potential distraction.
I could have sworn Maryland (my state of residence) had distracted driving laws already on the books. Am I wrong? I could have sworn they were referenced when I attended driving school years ago). Not sure why there is a push to keep adding specific bans instead of enforcing the laws already available.
