F/U texting and driving, that Missouri crash, NTSB recommends ban on cell phone use while driving
#19
I'm in agreement with the 'driver overload' that electronic obsessive designers have. Any car with a damn LCD in the center panel is a disaster waiting to happen. Every time I hear one of those car ads for cars with all kinds of electronic gizmo connections showing the driver looking through menus and whatnot... well, it's not going to end well.

Siri level technology will help, once she understands how the great mass of us speak.

I personally think that the best technical solution will be some form of advanced auto pilot concept with swarming technology built in. But that's for interstate travel. Most accidents probably take place at less than 30MPH.

And don't tell me about "GPS' confusion. Driving while unfolding and folding a map is just as bad, even worse.
