It isn't exactly easy to run out the door with that, or load it into anything. I'm amazed they can steal enough of something that large to get anything worth while out of it.
And the bright orange color of the containers make it easy to notice too.
I also wonder if there is some other chemical use for them. Just using it for laundry takes a lot of time to use one container. I can't imagine that the demand for "hot tide" is there for the quantity that is being stolen.
Or maybe there's some executive who's bonus is tied to selling a certain quantity of Tide, and he employed "independent contractors" to help him meet his quotas.
