You mean you didn't tell them that they'd better not contact you by any means unless they screwed up the repair and your life was in danger?
Obviously I get a lot of odd looks, people think I'm a crank (which is not out of the realm of possibility) but my philosophy is "Don't call me, I'll call you". When I get some of this, the first thing I do is contact somebody as high up as I can (the owner of the dealership is a good example, or the zone office for the manufacturer) and my first question "Did I tell you to call me?" then when they start with the alibis I keep saying "I don't understand though, I didn't tell you to call me."
I've claimed to be a day sleeper and asked for their numbers so I could contact them at 3:00 in the morning.
They only make that mistake with me once.
