They installed FiOS across the street back in 2007-2008, but then they stopped. They never installed FiOS over here, and it seems like that is never gonna happen now. I read the Verizon stopped FiOS expansion, in particular after Comcast and Time Warner sold them some wireless spectrum.
It was installed in the area probably within the last year. We've been getting the flyers in the mail, newspapers, etc. for almost that long. Frankly, we weren't really unhappy with Comcast (until the bills came), but thought we might as well explore the options.
