The Micky Hatcher reference jogged my memory -- I do recall that now.

For whatever reason, my impression is that it's gotten out of hand lately, and I couldn't recall if/when it crossed that line for me.

The team that wins the WS will ultimately have wasted a lot of alcohol in the span of a month or so by the time they're done. And, I still can't think of another sport that compares.
