I'll put it this way - every kid in the country knows that electoral college wins the presidency. We were all taught that the popular vote is not how it's done in this country.
I honestly do not think that there will be millions of americans stomping the ground insisting that they 'won' the election in this scenario. I just don't.
Yes, people will say, 'Look at all the red on that map' but not a single one will insist that it means they should have the right to step in the white house. It's just one of those, 'hey, look at this interesting thing I've found' kinda things.
