Italy: get over it!
#5
No way in the world were Amanda Knox and her boyfriend guilty of murder nor were they accessories to the crime. The boatload of circumstantial evidence churned up by the press stems from several sources: the overactive, lurid imagination of the prosecutor; the cultural differences between Italian and American societal norms; hapless Italian police officers and investigators; and the fact that the Italian press in Italy (as it has recently now become in the US) is the mouthpiece of the government. Should I even mention that the European press loathes Americans?

Rudy Gude (sp?) had come to visit the flat uninvited by either the women or the men living there sometime before the date of the crime. In my opinion, he was there to case the building to see what valuables he could pilfer later on. I believe he was aware of the fact that the men in the flat were going to be away on Nov 2. He probably thought that the women would be away as well. I think he was surprised by Ms. Kercher while robing the flat. I don't think it was his intention from the start to kill her, but since she could identify him, he may have felt that he had to silence her. Or, perhaps she refused his sexual advances. We will never know exactly what happened in the flat that night. Rudy Gude fled to Germany right after the murder. His DNA was found in abundance in Ms. Kercher's room. Case closed. Rudy Gude is the guilty party.

One thing is sure. Italy will never get any of my more of my vacation money. I won't set foot in that country ever again.
