Can we stop being deliberately provocative please?
#3
which is why I headed the body text with: Read the article, not just the headlines.

Far too many threads contain nothing but brief hollow-headed myths which are cooked up by "news organizations" and commentators in order to give their believers one sentence talking points which they insist are "facts".

I spoke with an old acquaintance of mine recently whodropped such a capsule thought on me. I said, "That's not true." He replied, "It's a fact."

I then ran him down the long list of strange and wonderful winger talking points I have seen here and he repeated them almost verbatim. I said, "Don't listen to Limbaugh." He told me he didn't. "Then how about right wingers on WABC and WOR hate radio?" BINGO.

It's scary seeing people you know parroting the same "facts" word for word in politics. BTW, I have a friend who does exactly the same thing with leftie stuff. They listen to enough to make themselves comfortable and then shut down.
