we're talking about what politicians say in front of the camera to the victims in the aftermath of a disaster.
that's not the time and place for political payback or backstabbing or grandstanding, just get the help to where it needs to go.
THEN have the conversation about funding, or about why your state's Seantors in particular didn't want to help Sandy victims but now have their own hands outstretched. None of that should be said by the President or the Governor when they address victims of this latest tragedy, nor should they show political animosity towards one another in that moment, that would be just tacky.
that's the point - NOT whether or not we should discuss disaster funding at all. Geez.
