"DINK" is a late 80's term. Like YUPPIE (young Urban Professional People). or PUPPIE (Poor Urban Professional People.. usually social service professionals, teachers, etc..)..
Then again there was that whole documentary filmed about the Yuppie alien invasion, that They captured and sold as a 'science fiction film'..
