plex media sever questions

I'd love to love Plex, but I just can't. The playback engine is wonderful, but everything else (as the pirate with the steering wheel in his pants says) drives me nuts. I have nearly 9TB of movies, TV shows, concerts, etc. on our server, and I'm not about to rename and/or resort all of them just to comply with the Plex devs ideas of how MY media ought to be named and sorted. The way Plex displays and re-organizes media is terrible, and pays no attention to the user's intentions.

I finally gave up and bought a used MacBook on eBay to serve as the front end on our main TV (the old TV got the old Mac Mini). Front Row and Perian work much better than Plex for me.
