I've seen something similar at the Apple store.
iMac's HD was busted so I make an appointment for the Apple store online. Most timeslots during busy hours were taken so had to wait a few days for an open time slot. I get there at the allotted time and still had to wait an extra half hour past the time slot.
I'm sitting there waiting and this irate young woman in her early 20s comes in. Place is packed. She walks up to an Apple employee and starts complaining loudly her new iPhone isn't working. She has no appointment. Next time slot is in a few hours. She can't wait. She can't come back. She's very busy. She spent alot of money on this phone and now it's not working. Keeps repeating her sob story over and over again. Louder and almost to the point of hysterics. While everyone in the store is waiting and glancing at her. She's almost to the point of tears. She demands for a manager.
While the employee goes to the back to get someone. She goes quiet, calmly takes out a blackberry and starts typing away like nothing is wrong. Zoned out. Then when the manager appears she turns on the crocodile tears again like a faucet. The manager tells her he will help her and brings her to the counter.
At that point my name is called and I go to the counter, so i don't know how her situation was resolved. But WTF?!! She just cut in front of all the people waiting with iPhone problems and has a manager helping her on the spot while everyone else made appointments days ago for the busy time slot and were patiently waiting their turn.
