I think you'd have to do a whole lot of shaving to fill up the space between two studs to a depth of 4 feet or so with thin little safety razor blades. Someone better at math could take a shot at it. Might be several average lifetimes.
My house was built in the mid-20's and my bathroom remodel was likely the first time down to the studs. There was a pretty good pile of old blades, according to the contractor. I found a bunch down in the basement below where there's a crude 1/4 bathroom. My brother-in-law used to specialize in old home remodels and he said he found them often.
