I wish there was a way to screen buyers

I wish there was a way to screen buyers on Ebay/Amazon like you can with Craigslist. I'd really like to be able to pick and choose who to sell to. I suppose I could do Ebay and put a stupid high price with the make an offer option, but that will probably scare away a lot of people. I'm more concerned with hassle free transactions than getting the absolute maximum dollar out of something.
