Have you successfully dealt with plantar fasciitis?

I used to have it really bad. I tried a lot of the supposed "custom orthodics" that were really just over priced standard pieces.
It went away after I had molds and custom orthotics made. The Molds and first pair cost me about $240 from a small shoe shop in Seattle. The pain was gone in a week.
