Long List Of Senior Discounts - Some Seem Too Good To Be True - Your Thoughts?
#19
"Ross Stores: 10% off every Tuesday ( 55+)"

Yes.
Dammit, yes.

About a decade back, I was buying some working clothes at Ross. I paid cash, as I always do; as do a lot of Old People. I wasn't Old People, so I was less than gruntled when asked for my ID; upon inquiring, the girl explained that they had to check ID for a Senior Discount, something that I was just short ten years of qualification.
Oh, it gets worse.

For my 55th Birthday, I shaved the lot off- I hadn't seen my upper lip since my early twenties, and things rustled in my beard late at night.
For my Birthday dinner, I went to a restaurant where I was well known. Our waitress looked at me and laughed and commented that I looked so much younger- I didn't look a day over 65.
I didn't get a discount, but I did get a free desert- a Creme Brulee, and my tea was served in a Sippy Cup.

If the longevity of my maternal grandmother and my Great Auntie Jo are anything to go by, I've got nearly a _half_ _century_ more of this to go through. By then, even Mortuaries should be offering 10% Senior Discounts.
