Ok...good questions.
It's running crazy hot all the time and has been doing so for at least two to three months. Crazy hot that you can't touch it. Right now, the CPU temp according to iStat is 175 Farenheit in a room at 26 Celsius along with the MBP sitting atop a laptop cooler equipped with two fans.
If I turn off the air conditioning and leave the machine as is and walk out, I expect it will hang as it has done at least three times before necessitating a shutdown and restart.
Fans are running at 3635 rpm, the both of them according to iStat.
It, of course, runs hotter when there are more programs open. I guess that's natural?
So, what do you think the problem is?
