There are some reports that the recently released footage shows Ray Rice hitting her first, the strike from her was after his hit. Haven't seen the video myself. In any case, part of football is controlled aggression. His knockout of a much smaller and weaker person could be taken as a sign he would not be able to control himself on the field either. In any case he became an embarrassment to the team and the NFL, not too surprised at the result.
