Their chance came when they set the policy. The bean counters decided they could make a fair amount of extra money with little fallout, taking their cue from the too big to fail banks. Same group of people sit on the same boards. This is what happens when there is no effective competition. What will a customer do about it, switch to Comcast?
Ya'll are brain washed into thinking a corporation deserves to get the same moral consideration as your neighbor. Right. You think they reciprocate back any of that consideration, except for what's in your pockets? Keep watching those commercials, like good little consumers.
I could not care less about $6, especially if it means waiting on hold for a half hour to speak to some poor minimum wage worker who gets yelled at all day by clueless folks with misplaced anger issues. I'd rather cost them a few potential customers.
