That was true, here, once.
Except for some spikes in gas prices, any time I care to look diesel is more expensive. Maybe it's cheaper than gas elsewhere in the states.
Still, it's offset when the vehicle gets better/great mileage.
And if taken care of, the engine can last 2-3 times as long as a gasser. HOWEVER, the rest of the vehicle needs to be built well for that to matter.
How many '80 Olds diesels are still running, vs '80 Mercedes diesels, for example.
