Kill me now: Trying to open old legacy QuarkXpress files in QX8. Missing "Pasteboard XT" module message

Trying to open some old legacy QuarkXpress files from 15-16 years ago. Maybe QX4? The file icon on the desktop is a black exec icon. Yeesh. The only QuarkXpress I have in the office is Quark8. When I try to open the file a message pops up saying: This document cannot be opened because the "Pastboard XT" XTensions module is not present. [101]

There is what looks to be a convertor (free download) on the Quark site that allows me to fix this but it makes old files compatible with Quark10. The newest version I was able to dig up was Quark8. I guess the workaround is to download a trial version of Quark10 just for this task. The trial version is good for a whopping THREE DAYS. So I rather wait until Monday to DL it so I can get 3 full days to tinker with it.

In the meantime, are there any thoughts out there?
