have you called comcast for help?
Not yet. This came about because I came home last night and couldn't login to my comcast email. I've had this account over 6 years and I was getting a message that my login credentials weren't valid. I noticed that I had a message on my phone (I have comcast triple play, phone/internet and TV).
The message was from a guy with my exact name saying that when he went to login to his comcast account he found himself in MY comcast account. He said he has been on the phone with comcast for over an hour and they couldn't figure out how it happened but they couldn't get him back in his account or out of mine. I managed to take back my account by going in to my wife's account (she's the primary) and changing my own credentials.
I spent the rest of the night on the phone with their support, then their security and finally with someone who was supposed to get my own email address back for me.
They claim they will have it fixed in about 48 hours but since I have access to my email now I'm trying to download it as I'm concerned that they might screw up even more and delete my mail in the process of trying to straighten it out.
I've got most of it now - just would like to get the mail in the separate folders without dumping it all back into the inbox.
I have no faith in comcast.
