You don't have to clear ALL of your cookies (saved site-data and logins) in Safari.
You can selectively clear the cookies from a specific site.
What would you lose if you cleared ALL of your cookies? For the most part, you'd GAIN a tiny bit of privacy from sites that don't use any of the myriad other techniques for tracking your every move on the 'net... But you'd notice that you'd have to log into a few sites again (like this one) and if you don't have a record of each of your logins/passwords, that might be awkward to deal with.
