He KNEW how the trial would play out - he knows these people, so he was finished... unless he could hop on the Trump train and get himself a nice juicy pardon for playing his part... just maybe if everything played out perfectly he'd be a hotshot in the new Trump presidency. Trump would drop of of politics soon leaving Christie top dog.
