Tough, I have a young kid, but we have never flown with her. Probably won't unless we are forced to or she is old enough to control herself. If we did fly I'd be booking seats in the back of the plane where it is loudest and close to the bathrooms, no way would I consider first class. I'd consider myself to be selfish if I didn't do everything I could to not piss off an entire flight. I'm actually surprised there isn't a restriction on how young you can be in first class. Just like a black tie restaurant, no kids allowed. I'd be pissed off if I bought a first class ticket expecting exceptional service and an ice quiet relaxing flight and instead got to listen to a kid scream. I could have payed for coach if I wanted that.
On the other hand, apparently there is no policy about kids in first class. Wonder if there is a generic causing a ruckus or b not too loud type of blanket policy. A baby screaming is really no different than someone yelling at someone else or listening to loud music.
