My Son-in-law received a notice from Spectrum now that there absorption of our TW service is complete. Just like the article above, he was informed his Time Warner package was "mispriced". I guess he is "safe" for now, but he was warned that any change in his service (apparently including replacing a dead cable box) would result in a pricing correction, to the tune of a $70 increase per month!
Well Spectrum does want to make back their investment in buying TW service areas pay off quick, what better way than charging their new customers enough to drive some away. Once that happens, then they can go back to claims of poverty to justify price and fee increases.
