There is a certain etiquette in driving Texas, two lane country roads.
With speed limits of 75mph some locals may drive below speed limit, so when a vehicle appears behind you, even if you are doing above the speed limit, one moves over and drives on the shoulder, without prompting, without putting on a blinker, until passed. It is necessary for the passing driver to acknowledge the courtesy, by waving, tapping brake lights, etc.

Too funny. I wonder if that custom is universal? I will traverse the roads of rural S.C. early next month. I'll see if this custom is followed there. I'll try to share pix of the villages I visit. We'll see how they compare.
