My Christmas epiphany

The worst offenders of useless plastic toys and playsets are childless aunts and uncles. God bless them, they try so hard with the children gifts at Christmas and Birthdays. I've found the best gifts for first graders and up are gift cards to Target and Barnes&Noble. At 6/7yo, kids know the value of a gift card. A young toddler, not so much. If you must buy them physical gifts make it an "active" toy. Like sports ball, scooter, stomp rocket, etc. I cringe when i see remote control anything.

YES! true here, too. Agree also on the sports and active items. but, I'm a real throwback when it comes to kids and screens.
